Welcome to the Christian Meditation Community of St. James'

Since September of 2000, St. James has had a contemplative prayer/ Christian meditation group meeting weekly in the parish, learning the teachings of John Main, and practising this simple way of Christian prayer that has its roots in the early Church. It is a way of prayer that enables you

to encounter the Spirit of love that lives within you.

We invite you to explore two ways of learning about meditation:

1) Come to the weekly groups at St. James -

Wednesdays at 4:30PM in the Chapel (enter by the chapel door)

Saturdays at 9:30am in the Club Room (enter by the office door)

2) Go to the website of the World Community for Christian Meditation www.wccm.org

For our lives to be fully human we need to encounter the Spirit of love within ourselves.

(John Main, The Heart of Creation)
