The Flower Ministry

The Flower Ministrycompliments and enhances the beauty of St. James' Anglican Church. Sitting quietly in the Nave, viewing altar flowers gives a sense of spiritual peace and emotional wellbeing to members and visitors.

The Flower Ministry provides an opportunity to give honour and glory to God.

The Flower Ministry provides flowers throughout the Church for special occasions, such as Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas.

Providing Flowers for the Altar
Parishioners give altar flowers for many reasons - to remember, to celebrate, to offer thanksgiving, to commemorate special events and to honour individuals.  While the Flower Ministry at St. James' gives us the opportunity to mark these events, it is not necessary to have a special reason to offer flowers for the altar.  It is also possible to join with others to provide altar flowers for a specific week.

Information Regarding Flower Donations:

1.  Requests for particular dates are honored on a first come, first served basis.

2.  The flowers are ordered by the church after consulation with the donors.

3.  Is there a special flower or colour of flowers that you wish to have in the floral arrangement?

4.  What is the wording you would like used in the Church Bulletin to describe your donation?

     eg.    In thanksgiving for ...

             In memory of ....

            To celebrate the marriage (anniversary, baptism etc. ) of ....
