Great!
Your family is considering participation in the
Life in the Eucharist (LITE) programme
this year at St. James’.
This is an opportunity for you and your child to learn more about our faith, the Eucharist, and our Christian community. It is a chance to have fun and to meet new people. Welcome!
LITE usually takes place during the Church season of Lent. “Lent” means “spring”, and in our country spring is a time of growth and new life. Traditionally, Lent is a time in which Christians make a particular effort to grow in faith. This is a preparation for Easter, when we celebrate the new life made possible through the death and resurrection of Jesus.
Each Life in the Eucharist gathering involves lots of hands-on learning activities, games, music and worship. There are also opportunities for the children to explore their church, including a tour of the bell tower – and a chance to play the bells! And, of course, great fun and fellowship!
