Beginning Oct. 25 through Nov. 15, Social and Ecological Justice Huron is offering a book study to further explore the themes of the Rev'd Canon Stephanie Spellers' book "The Church Cracked Open: Disruption, Decline, and New Hope for Beloved Community". This is a great opportunity to dive more deeply into the relationship between the church and colonization, and explore ways to embody Beloved Community. This study will be offered Monday evenings at 7pm via Zoom and will provide reflection and engagement ahead of the visit from Stephanie Spellers on Nov. 22-23.

  • Grace Anglican Church Brantford, Ontario seeks an Organist/Choir Director. The position involves planning and leading organ music for worship; playing the organ and piano for the Sunday Service and for other celebrations and feast days including Christmas Eve and Holy Week (some evening services); and accompany the choir for Thursday Evening rehearsals.
    Grace's music ministry has a long tradition of organ and choral music; we also enjoy congregational singing.  The parish has a large 1907 three manual five division Casavant organ and a Steinway Grand piano. Our congregation generally prefers traditional music, but certainly welcomes contemporary music as well. This is salaried part-time (11 to 12 hours per week & 4 weeks holidays) plus extra pay for funerals and weddings under the supervision of the Rector.

  • St. Jude’s Church, London: Custodian and Hall Rental Manager position
    Full-time position of 37.5 hours
    ,  with the dual role of Custodian and Hall Rental Manager. A flexible schedule will be needed to accommodate both Custodial and Rental responsibilities.
    Under the Custodian position primary responsibilities include the day-to-day cleaning and general maintenance of the Church Building surrounding area.
    Under the Hall Rental Manager position primary responsibilities include preparing rooms for rental functions, including set up and clean up. On-site management of rental groups.
    For both positions: Be able to periodically lift up to 12kg of weight.
    A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Custodial duties within a Church or Industrial setting. General maintenance responsibilities, excellent customer service and communications skills is a must.
    The incumbent will be aware of and compliant with diocesan and parish policies and practices, including the Diocese of Huron’s Safe Church Policies. Therefore a police record check through the diocese using Xpresschek is required.
